It is the end of labor day weekend on Waiheke Island. The parking lots are full, forcing us to walk to the beach. Lines at the supermarket, tourists in the streets with upside down maps. Sun hats on, children frolicking in the cold ocean. Red shoulders, bright smiles. Busy Saturday market, birthday parties and brunches.
Spring is officially here.
It only took a decade for me to acclimate to the seasons of the southern hemisphere.
